THQ “closing down” rumour is actually wireless division restructuring
THQ is to restructure its wireless division, the publisher said today, amid ridiculous rumours of the company itself closing.
N-Europe originated the talk with this piece, which drew baffled MSN messages from UK trade chatterers.
THQ eventually debunked the story, saying its wireless division was to take a hit.
“Today, we advised our staff of a restructuring of our wireless subsidiary in Europe,” said European PR boss Sam Forrest.
“That’s all that has happened. The remainder of the Woking based THQ operation were unaffected by this restructure in the wireless subsidiary.”

Talking of closing… it would appear that the Turok devs (Propaganda) have had some severe layoffs.

I am gonna be blunt.
Even if THQ had have closed yesterday, it wouldnt have affected me the way Free Rad did.
They havent really come up with anything good over the past 3 years (except Saints Row and maybe De Blob).
Of course, it would be sad for people losing their jobs and god forbid, I hope it doesnt happen to them at THQ but all they have churned out recently is casual stuff and shitty WWE games which I stopped playing after SvR 2007.

Brilliant time to stop, SvR 2008 is the best for years.
