US retail refusing to stock more peripherals, cite lack of space
MTV is reporting that US stores such as Wal-Mart are now refusing to stock new, large, plastic peripherals citing a lack of shelve space.
Apparently, XS Games wanted to release a new guitar peripheral for PopStar Guitar Wii, but after the notion of stocking the device was rejected by stockists, XS was forced to redesign a much smaller add-on to suit retailers needs.

Ooh, a blow for the booming peripheral market!
And just when it looked like the trend might lead to a future version of FIFA coming with some sort of mini football pitch.
Wow… The peripheral possibilities are huge!

Hopefully it’s just all over for shitty peripherals.

I really hope it’s over for peripherals AND Nintendo, so I can’t lose, really.
