The first episode of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is free on Xbox One at the moment.

Grab it via the Xbox Store on your console or direct from Xbox.com. You will see the price is listed as zero dollars and zero cents. Delightful!

The first Resident Evil: Revelations was hailed as a return to form for the horror franchise, as opposed to the action departures of the main series. The episodic sequel was not quite as well received, but certainly didn't go down badly, and hell - it's free, right? What have you got to lose?

If you enjoy yourself, the rest of the episodes are on sale as a season pass through Xbox Deals with Gold - but only on Xbox 360. Nuts.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 3 and PS4 as well as both current Xbox consoles, and can be had digitally or on-disc via retail.
