Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris - this massive Vex machine being called an Infinite Forest is a bit of a misnomer

The Infinite Forest in Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris isn't what it sounds like, so don't expect adorable woodland creatures to greet you in this particular area of Mercury.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is now available, and below you can gaze upon a rather hefty batch of Infinite Forest screenshots.

Located at the heart of Mercury, the Infinite Forest is a Vex-controlled area built to to simulate reality and find the future they want.

Bungie touched upon the Infinite Forest in its first livestream and gave us a better look at the area during the second Curse of Osiris livestream.

According to Bungie, the Infinite Forest it’s the largest area created for Destiny, and here, players will be combating Vex through various timelines. Each era in time shows a different outcome in the past, present and future with different version of Mercury.

These spaces will be different each time a player jumps in whether it be the combination of set pieces or enemies. Each time frame will also feature random enemies made up of all enemy races from the Destiny universe.

The Infinite Forest is just one of many new and exiting bits of Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris content you can expect during Season 2.
