Counter-Strike: Global Offensive winter update brings killcam, new weapon, more

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has received a new killcam feature in the latest update.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive winter update has been released, bringing with it a controversial feature, as well as new content, gameplay changes, and more.

First up, the highlight feature is the addition of a killcam - or what Valve calls Killer Replay. This functions the same way you'd expect it to, by playing the last few seconds before you got shot, from the perspective of your killer. It's only available in Demolition and Casual though.

The new weapon, the R8 Revolver, replaces the Desert Eagle in the spotlight. The weapon is very powerful and can fired quickly by fanning the hammer. To go along with it, four new finishes were added for it, two of which can be found in the new Revolver Case.

Finally, round and C4 timers have been changed for Competitive Matchmaking. They're now 1:55 and 0:40 respectively.
