Burnout Paradise, Rayman Legends and Pure added to Xbox One Backwards Compatible titles
Three more old games to play on your new console.
Burnout Paradise, Rayman Legends and Pure are the latest Xbox 360 titles to be made playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
As noted on Major Nelson's Xbox One Backwards Compatibility hub, support for Pure extends to the disc version only.
I'm pretty sure this brings the total number of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility to 291. It's still a drop in the ocean of the Xbox 360's enormous back-catalogue, but it's a heck of a selling point for the Xbox One, and will be just one more point in Project Scorpio's favour when Microsoft launches its new console revision.
Getting backwards compatibility working takes a fair amount of engineering and legal wrangling with publishers, but the effort seems to have paid off for Microsoft; some Xbox 360 games are being reprinted to meet demand from Xbox One owners.
I sure wish Sony would follow Microsoft's lead here, but then again the PS3 was a bit of a nightmare horror tech-wise and I'm sure emulating it on the PS4's sensible architecture would be pretty tough.
