Desert Bus for Hope 10 has kicked off – watch folks play a desperately dull and tedious game for charity

The 10th annual run of Desert Bus has kicked off and you can help the poor folks playing this very, very dull game by making donations to Child's Play.

Desert Bus for Hope is an annual charity marathon in which members of the team play one of the mini-games from a collection of Penn & Teller’s Smoke and Mirrors. As we reported last year, the game forces the player to drive from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada at 45 MPH in real time.

A single run will take players eight hours and they will earn one point. If they want more points, they will need to turn the car around and head back to Tucson.

The run started at 10am PT/1pm ET, and as of press time, the team has already earned $20,011.07 in donations this year- and they have 107 more hours of boring desert driving left - so throw some money at them.

We have posted the stream above, and if you would like to donate, you can do so through the Desert Bus for Hope website.

Heading over to the website will also provide more information on the charity, learn more about the Desert Bus for Hope origins, and have a look at Donation Drive prizes
