$1.2M raised for charity through Summer Games Done Quick speedrun marathon

Gamers coughed up an absolutely whopping amount of cash to benefit charity over the past week.
Summer Games Done Quick 2015 has come to an end, raising an incredible $1,232,925.90 in donations, all forwarded directly to Doctors Without Borders.
According to the donation tracking page, just 22,075 viewers coughed up this stunning amount, manye with repeat donations, at an average of over $55 each. That's more than just pocket change.
Congratulations to organisers, sponsors, all the speedrunners who donated their time, and everyone who tuned in, spread the word and donated. This was an incredible effort and indicative of the deep generosity to be found among gaming enthusiasts. We should all be very proud.
