Pokemon developer, Sega collaboration teased

Pokemon developer Game Freak is apparently working on something with Sega.

The Sega Twitter published the following teaser image this week:

Game Freak is, of course, the team behind the Pokemon games, and we often forget that it's independent rather than a Nintendo studio.

As such, whatever the studio is cooking up with Sega might not necessarily release on Nintendo platforms. Sega does have a close relationship with Nintendo now (something that 1990's console war veterans find difficult to swallow) but it's also pulled back a bit from console development, so this may be a handheld or mobile title.

Do you recognise any clues in the image below that might point to a classic Sega property? There's an elephant trunk, peanuts, a grenade, and some sort of space ship. I'm drawing a blank.

I guess we'll know more on March 11.
