Conception 2 opening cinematic is very musical
Here's a new trailer for 3DS RPG Conception 2: Guidance of Seven Stars and Muzzle’s Nightmare, a game which is only slightly less bemusing than PSP prequel Conception: Please Have My Babies.
In the Conception series, our hero is magically transported to a world where he must battle "impurities" by way of dungeon crawls. The party is composed of "star children", who are birthed by mingling the protagonist's life force with that of one of a number of Star Maidens in a mechanical device. So basically: visual novel style dating sim, followed by turn-based RPG combat, something like Persona in a way - only potentially quite creepy if you think about it too much. Which you maybe should.
The game hits Japan in September and Chunsoft is hoping enough western interest will lead to a localised release. Too bad Atlus is on the rocks.
