Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata said during a financial briefing at E3 Nintendo will release a free-to-play title during this fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2014. Details weren’t provided, but he did say it wouldn’t be based on the Pokemon or Mario franchises. The news was broken by industry analyst David Gibson over Twitter and confirmed later by Nintendo.
