BlazBlue is being transformed into an anime series called ‘BlazBlue: Alter Memory’. It’ll begin in Autumn, although it’s not yet clear which networks will support it, or if it’ll purely be an online endeavour.

The official Alter Memory site is live now, and will be full of character bios and art nearer the launch. We’ll keep our eyes open for new posts as they happen.

Anime News Network reports that the show is an adaptation of the events depicted in BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. Set in 2199, the show stars Ragna the Bloodedge as he attempts to bring down a system controlling the world. Fighters from around the world challenge Ragna to claim a bounty on his head, trigger a ton of fighting presumably.

Confirmed characters are, Ragna the Bloodedge, Noel Vermillion, Jin Kisaragi, Rachel Alucard, Hazama, Taokaka, Litchi Faye-Ling, Iron Tager, Tsubaki Yayoi, Kokonoe and Makoto Nanaya.
