Jason Rohrer’s The Castle Doctrine is available right now for PC, Mac and Linux.

Interestingly, Rohrer has decided to release the home defense and burgle-with-friends game DRM free. One purchase provides lifetime access to the main server and all of its future updates. The title is open source, meaning you’ll receive PC and Mac builds that can be used on Linux when you pay for the game. Included within the code is software for players to set up and enjoy their own servers.

Rohrer, who also created Sleep is Death, has launched the game at a 50% discount of $8. If you fancy this one, make sure you capitalise on the deal right here.

Thanks, Joystiq.
