Musical chairs: Intent and Future shuffle staffing

Today's seems to be the day for games journalism job announcements, with Intent Media and Future both announcing a number of staff changes and hires.

Intent's changes will see MCV deputy editor Chris Dring become associate editor while staff writer James Batchelor will take on the role of deputy editor. Staff writer Dominic Sacco moves within Intent but out of games to be the Deputy Editor of ToyNews - and his role on MCV is filled by VG247 contributor Lauren Wainwright.

Future has confirmed CVG staple Andy Robinson as the magazine's new Editor, filling the role Tim Ingham left vacant last year. Develop's Rob Crossley will make the move to CVG as its new associate editor. Current editor-in-chief John Houlihan steps into the role of digital manager for CVG, the final change at that publication.

Future also announced some changes at the Official Nintendo Magazine - reimagining it before the Wii U launches later this year. Former editor-in-chief Chandra Nair returns to the magazine replacing Neil Long. Deputy editor Steve Hogarty is also leaving - though his role is still being recruited for.

Congratulations to everyone on their new positions from all of us at VG247. Well deserved all round!
