IndustryGamers reports Nintendo’s Nobuo Nagai passed away on January 22, having succumbed to stomach cancer. Nagai had been with the company for over four decades and since 2004, held the post of senior managing director of manufacturing and representative director. His career followed Nintendo right from its first stirrings as a games manufacturer to one of the big three of the industry. He gave key input on Nintendo hardware released during his career, including the 3DS, of which he said “This time it’s fully packed right from the start,” when viewing early designs. Nagai was 67.
