Report: Tales of the Abyss 3D to see for US release

The latest issue of Nintendo Power has listed Namco Bandai’s Tales of the Abyss 3D for US release.

Go Nintendo has an image of the page in question, which reads:

“The modern RPG classic Tales of the Abyss is about to be reborn on the Nintendo 3DS. Yes, even in America!”

An illustration of seven of the game’s characters (eight, if you count ubiquitous cute fluffy thing) accompanies the text. No images of the game itself as yet.

Tales of the Abyss 3D is expected in Japan at the end of June; the text seems to suggest the US version will follow shortly. As it’s a remake of the 2005 PS2 release, the localisation shouldn’t be too drawn-out.

Abyss is the seventh core entry in the long-running RPG series, which has seen only patchy localisation over its history.
