SouthPeak Interactive has announced that Stronghold 3 has been pushed back from its original release schedule and will now launch “later this summer.”

The castle-building strategy game is in development at Firefly studios and was originally scheduled to land in Q1 2011, but has now been given a rough release window of this summer.

Stronghold 3 counts revamped castle building mechanics and night-time missions among a plethora of new features. It’s exclusive to PC.
