Everquest II Destiny of Velious expansion launches today

History repeats today - depending on your time zone - as Everquest II benefits from the release of the Destiny of Velious expansion, based on the second add-on to the original game.

Destiny of Velious is the tenth expansion for Everquest II, and contains plenty of content familiar to fans of Scars of Velious, Everquest's 2000 content pack.

The plot sees heroes transported to the continent of Velious, a frozen landscape replete with glaciers and the ruins of an ancient conflict, there to combat eveil and save the known world, et cetera.

More excitingly, the expansion adds in flying mounts; ten instanced dungeons and six instanced raids; one contested dungeon; and hundreds of new weapons, items and armour sets.

All this can be yours when Tuesday rolls around States-side.
