Itagaki to be a playable character Saints Row: The Third
THQ confirmed during TGS 2011 game designer Tomonobu Itagaki will be a playable character in Saints Row: The Third. While folks will be able to use the character creation feature in the game to look however they wish, Itagaki will be a pre-existing character complete with leather jacket and sunglasses. Itagaki is currently working on Devil’s Third, which is to be published by THQ. Thanks, Gamespot.

Saints Row and Rockstar Table Tennis added to Games on Demand
Nelson’s confirmed that Saints Row and Rockstar Games Table Tennis are now available on GoD.
Saints Row is available now for 3000 MS points, while Rockstar Table Tennis is added to the Japanese marketplace for 2000 MS points.

Saints Row PSP hitting in March 2010, says Opeth
Swedish metal band Opeth is to have its music included in a PSP version of Saints Row, according to this post on the group’s site.
“The game is expected to hit the streets around March 2010,” said the Nordic rockers.

Saints Row and Dawn of War sequels to ship for “many years to come”

THQ boss Brian Farrell just said that Saints Row and Dawn of War sequels are to be launched for “many years to come”.
The exec said more than 5 million units of Saints Row have now been sold, as have more than 4 million units of in the Dawn of War series.
Farrell was speaking in THQ’s Q4 and year-end earnings call, which is ongoing.
THQ announced losses of over $430 million for the year ending March today.

50 Cent to option Saints Row movie rights

50 Cent has apparently just said he wants to make a Saints Row movie.
“With my relationship with THQ, they’ll actually see me develop Saint’s Row into an actual screeplay and into a film project,” he told US journalists.
“I’m optioning the rights for that right now, so they’ll see that before they see me do it from my own perspective for my game.”
