Last of Us details spill from GI: story info, online confirmed
The first details on The Last of Us’s story and gameplay have emerged from the latest Game Informer, as has confirmation there’ll be some sort of online mode.

Game Informer says “old school gamers will freak out” over feature in next issue
Game Informer’s teasing its next issue, which will apparently contain a feature on a new installment in a series which “old school gamers will freak out over.” It won’t be the actual game readers will “freak” over though, but the studio behind the development of it. The reveal is set for this coming Thursday, January 5, and GAF users are speculating it could be a new Road Rash entry from Criterion or even a Valve-developed

The Legend of Zelda gets next Game Informer cover
Game Informer’s announced tonight that its next cover for the magazine’s new issue will be The Legend of Zelda. The magazine will take a look back at the series’ 25 years to date, as well as promising a ten page hands-on preview of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii. The mag will also preview Skyrim, Quantum Conundrum, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and “an intriguing new game from EA,” although it isn’t specifically named. More details here.

GI goes screen mental on Saints Row: The Third
Game Informer‘s put live the direct feed shots of Saints Row: The Third that appeared in its mag earlier this month as a cover exclusive. Up until now, we’ve only seen one screen plus other bits, but this is the first proper gameplay screen blowout since its announcement at GDC. Hit the link to see the shots.

Game Informer circulation up by 33 percent in 2010
Game Informer’s monthly circulation was up by 33 percent with 5 million copies sold in 2010, figures from Audit Bureau of Circulations has said.

Team Bondi’s motion capture process enlists a volunteer from Game Informer
Team Bondi has shown Game Informer’s Dan Ryckert how motion capture tech is used to scan actors and put them into L.A. Noire by fully capturing in 3D the man himself - and placing him in the game.

Game Informer sequel is Silent Hill, Skyrim gets cover treatment
