If you too were frustrated by last week’s tease of Gaijin Games’ BIT.TRIP.RUN!, a port of BIT.TRIP. RUNNER 2: Future Legend of the Rhythm Alien to iPhone and iPad. It’s up here, for real this time, on the App Store, priced at just $4 or your regional equivilent and promises 3 “Gorgeous Worlds”, 40 costumes across eight characters and 55 levels all up.

Someone accidentally pushed a button and BIT.TRIP.RUN!, the universal iOS port of Bit Trip Runner 2: Future Legend of the Rhythm Alien was accidentally released on the New Zealand App Store for a little while, before getting pulled. The release, which was priced at $5.29 in NZ, requires iOS 6.0 and is optimised for iPhone 5 equivalent devices. Check the trailer below.

The Good Friends pack for Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien arrived on Xbox 360 today, and makes the jump to Wii U tomorrow, according to the game’s Twitter. The pack is already available on PS3 and Steam; the latter has one extra exclusive character, Portal 2′s Atlas. On consoles, enjoy guest stars from Psychonauts, Machinarium, Cave Story, Super Meat Boy and Spelunky as well as an alternate, invisible version of CommanderVideo.

BIT.TRIP FATE, the ﬁfth entry in Gaijin Games’ series, is now available on Steam. The game was originally released on WiiWare and offered later in the BIT.TRIP COMPLETE collection for Wii and BIT.TRIP SAGA for 3DS. The side-scrolling shoot ‘em up contains characters such as Super Meat Boy and Mr. Robotube, and you can get it for $4.99 until July 22 – 50% off the regular price. Hit up Steam for more information.

Gaijin Games has released a free endless runner called CommanderVideo, starring the famous hero of its Bit.Trip series. The browser-based affair has leaderboards and Twitter bragging support, and is a promotion for Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, which is now available on Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360, and headed to Vita as a bare-bones port this year.

There’s a pretty special sale on Steam at the moment, offering 25-75% off every Bit.Trip game available on PC. The retro-styled Gaijin Games series has won awards all over the place and is also available on Wii and 3DS. The newest entry, Runner 2, mixes things up with a new graphical style.

Gaijin Games is working on a Wii U patch for Runner 2, and the main fix coming will squash a bug which freezes the console when powered down or exiting to the main menu.

Bit.Trip Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien developer Gaijin Games has released a new gameplay trailer for its sprint-em-up. It looks rather shiny and should appeal to fans of Canabalt, Temple Run and all those other cardio-intensive romps.

BIT.TRIP Presents: Runner 2 – Future Legend of Rhythm Alien has been sent to Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony for certification, Gaijin Games has announced. The firm this was “by far the most ambitious submission process Gaijin has ever done, ” and next on the certification list are the PC, Mac, and Linux versions. Head on over to Steam to pick up Bit.Trip Void, the third entry in Gaijin Games’ minimalistic, retro-styled series. Void is a bit tricky to explain, being a kind of bullet hell – thing, but it’s 10% off this week and at $9 it’s hard to complain. While you have your credit card out, cast your eye over the Bit.Trip Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, which is now available for pre-order for $13.50 – also a 10% discount.
