MIND≒0 coming to Vita in August

Dungeon crawler MIND≒0 (said “Mind Zero”, looking at the Japanese) is headed to Vita on August 1. Siliconera reports the RPG is a collaboration between Class of Heroes developer ZeroDiv and Acquire. Although it’s only been confirmed for Japanese release, it’s notable because it’s the first Acquire game to release since the Way of the Samurai and Sumiomi developer was snapped up by GungHo last year. GungHo also recently picked up Grasshopper Manufacture because it has about a gazillion bucks.

Mind Zero Famitsu scans show off new characters

Mind Zero developer Acquire is up next in this week’s issue of Famitsu. The mag has published some chunky character art and one – count them – gameplay screen. The characters seem new though so that’s something to get excited about if you’re keen on the game.

Mind Zero: Acquire opens teaser site for PS Vita dungeon crawler

Mind Zero was announced by The Last Guy developer Acquire earlier this week. It’s a PS Vita dungeon crawler that sees school kids and detectives summoning spirits to help them fight. The studio has now opened a teaser site for the game.

Sumioni: Demon Arts arrives in Europe for Vita next week

Acquire’s action-platformer Sumioni: Demon Arts will finally be releases in Europe through the PlayStation Store next week. Filled with lovely Japanese artistry, the title was released in March through the US PS Store. Those living in regions serviced by the EU PS Store, can download it on January 16 for €9.99/£7.99.

Way of the Samurai 4 hits US PSN this week

Acquire’s action epic, Way of the Samurai 4, has finally been confirmed for a long-awaited US release. XSEED will deliver via the PlayStation Network on August 4 for $40, according to Destructoid. This latest entry in the franchise has some neat elements; it’s open world; it has online versus multiplayer; it allows for character customisation; and you can even populate the world with AI-controlled custom enemies. We’re expecting it in Europe in October, thanks to Rising Star.

Screenshots show first look at Acquire’s New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy

Acquire has provided the first look at its RPG in the works, New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy, via a set of screenshots and character renders. You can have a look over on Andriasang. The title contains a “multi-scenario system,” and stories for three new students studying at the Koku Academy. Like previous entries in the series, school and character customization elements are present and it contains your standard, RPG map system. It’s due for release in Japan on PSP July 19.

Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen video reveals story, weapons, Glider Suit

Namco has released a new video for Acquire’s “epic story of betrayal, assassination, and intrigue”, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen. In the latest video, you get a look at the Vita title’s slice and dice action as well as the nifty Glider Suit, a mode of transportation in the game. It’s out in North America and Europe on February 22.

Acquire’s Sumioni: Demon Arts to release in North America

XSEED has announced via the PS Blog it will be releasing Acquire’s gorgeous-looking Sumioni: Demon Arts in North america as a launch window title “this spring”. The “ink-themed” action title provides the player will various obstacles to overcome by drawing platforms with the touch-screen, or using the handheld’s controls to call upon a giant bird or sacred lion help destroy a well-defended pagoda. Sumioni’s ending depends on your skill

Andriasang reports Vita side-scroller Sumioni features multiple paths through the story and several endings. Branchings of the story are dependent on your performance during your quest to save the Light Princess. The Vita title is due in Japan on February 9, and will hopefully make the jump to the lustful, drooling masses elsewhere. Pine for the new images through the break.
