There are secrets hidden in the E3 Prey trailer

A new video posted by Bethesda today hints at some secrets tucked away in the Prey E3 trailer.

Prey is due in 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Respected game designer Chris Avellone is working on it.

As pointed out in the video above by Creative Director Raphael Colantonio, there's a coffee cup in that original trailer that doesn't behave like normal, and one of the aliens disguises itself as a chair.

Both observations you're likely to have picked up on if you've watched the trailer a few times, of course, but interesting to note if you'd forgotten some of the details amid all the E3 buzz.

Colantonio notes that the aliens in this game "have their own purpose", having broken out of containment and evolved. You'll also be able to learn some of the alien powers.

While there's no new footage - and we still haven't seen any actual gameplay - the video drops a few neat hints about how Prey will play.
