Those who pre-order the shooter can start pre-downloading it today so that it's ready to go come release on August 25.

There are two editions available: the standard edition ($39.99) and the Deluxe Edition ($59.99).

The later comes with pre-order bonus items the Adam Fenix and Civilian Anya multiplayer skins and Animated Imulsion Weapon Skin. These skins are also included with the standard version. The deluxe version also includes the Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack featuring 10 different Animated Weapon Skins and 36 standard Weapon Skins, as well as the Civilian Marcus Fenix and Aaron Griffin multiplayer characters.

Over the next few weeks prior to launch, a series of new videos on Remastering Gears of War will be released, each including behind-the-scenes footage.

This week’s installment is posted below, and gives viewers a look at how the original Gears has been remastered in 1080p and modernized with 60fps competitive multiplayer.

As noted above, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition releases on August 25 for Xbox One and will arrive on Windows 10 PC at a "later" date.
