What began as a tech demo, has now evolved into a project of its own. Robinson: The Journey is what Crytek is calling it and it's a new VR game that puts the player in the shoes of a young boy who crash-lands on an alien planet.

"With freedom to explore their surroundings in 360 degrees of detail, players will become pioneers by interacting with the rich ecosystem around them and unearthing incredible secrets at every turn," reads the press release.

Naturally, the game will be based on Unreal Engine, but no other details about platforms or a release window have been revealed.

Here's the trailer of the demo that was released back in April.
