Harmonix has a music app in the works for Samsung's Oculus powered Gear VR

Harmonix has something in the works for Samsung's Gear VR which incorporates the firm's new Galaxy Note 4.

According to Engadget, the Rock Band developer has created an app called Harmonix Music VR.

While there aren't an solid details on the app at this time, it will analyze the user's music library and create "a high-resolution event sequence that drives the reactive elements in your virtual world."

Engadget surmises these event sequences equate to visualizations considering Harmonix described the app has being "vibrant".

The developer also used the word "dreamscape," so expect it to be swirls with all colors of the rainbow and maybe even kaleidoscope effects. Maybe. I'm just guessing.

The app is expected to launch alongside Samsung's Oculus VR-powered headset later this year.
