The Emperor Edition also includes all revisions and additions to game features.

The new Imperator Augustus adds hundreds of hours of sandbox gameplay "across a new campaign map reflecting the geopolitical boundaries of the Second Triumvirate War."

The civil war saw Octavian, Marc Antony and Lepidus vying to be the first Emperor of Rome.

Existing PC and Mac Rome 2 players will receive all content via automatic update on the day of launch, upgrading them to Emperor Edition at no cost.

It comes with an improved politics system, overhauled building chains, re-balanced battles, and improved visuals in both campaign and battle.

A beta will be available soon.
