September system preview for Xbox One rolling out to participants

That Xbox One system update Microsoft announced during gamescom this week has started rolling out, alongside a few unannounced features.

Those who are part of the preview program should fire up their console and have a look at the offerings.

Here's a bullet list (because I love bullet points!) of features rolling out to preview members:

  • The Party App has been re-organized
  • There's a new Friends Section
  • A Media Player which incorporates the use of USB devices
  • Xbox One Digital TV Tuner (Europe only)
  • Stream TV to SmartGlass
  • Boot to TV
  • SmartGlass Updates
  • Save your Avatar Gamerpic
  • Settings Updates such as managing controllers and accessories
  • Bandwidth Usage Display

All the details are posted to Xbox Wire.

Below, Major Nelson also takes you through some of what's listed above in a video.

The update will be releases to all Xbox One owners in the coming months.
