Get twice the scarf and sports wrap in two Sonic Boom trailers

Did you know the two Sonic Boom games have subtitles now? The Wii U one is Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, and the 3DS effort is Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. Gaze on both of these below.

Sonic Boom is a transmedia movement incorporating a new cartoon and loads of merchandising as well as these two games. For this revival, Sonic and co, have been given a makeover, which seems to involve a lot of fabric and muscles.

We can probably forgive that if the games are any good; poor old Sonic has had a rough time of it the past few years. Take a look at both games in the trailers below.

Since the two games are obviously different experiences, it's good to see a publisher acknowledging that with a title change instead of quietly pretending the handheld release is a port of the the full home console game (cough cough, Activision).

If what Sega itself is doing to Sonic isn't enough to make you weep copious bitter tears, this virtual reality Sonic game probably is.

Thanks, Destructoid.
