Xbox One Games With Gold starts June; first free games revealed

Microsoft has revealed its first free Xbox One games that will start the console's Games With Gold incentive in June, while 360 owners can look forward to a free download of Dark Souls and other titles.

It follows Microsoft's announcement of a new, cheaper Kinect-less Xbox One bundle, launching June 9.

In a press release sent to VG247 today, Microsoft confirmed that Max: Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault will be free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers on Xbox One in June.

Additionally, Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome will be discounted as part of the scheme, with between 50-75% off other games in coming months.

Microsoft added that Xbox Live Games With Gold will continue on Xbox 360, and that Dark Souls, Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be free in June.
