Cult County falls short of Kickstarter goal, Renegade Kid looking at "other options"

Cult County, the project Renegade Kid took to Kickstarter, has ended short of its funding goal.

The developer was seeking $580,000 in funding, but only managed to raise $46,736 from 1,492 backers.

Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham took to Kickstarter and Twitter to thank backers, and sate that alternative development means would be considered.

"Cult County kickstarter has ended. 1492 wonderful backers pledged $46,736. Thank you! We did not reach goal. Now discussing other options," he tweeted. "People tell us we need to reduce the number of platforms and budget for Cult County.

"Only way to reduce budget is to only make episode one."

Cult County was set for development on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux as well as PlayStation 3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U and Xbox One and after multiple requests from fans, 3DS.
