Candy Crush developer King opens Japan studio

Candy Crush Saga developer King has opened a new studio in Tokyo, Japan to help the firm localise its products for the Eastern market.

Former Gloops CMO Ken Edahiro will head up the new office, which currently consists of just three staff. Speaking with CNet, Edahiro said he is now looking to hire a CTO and game producer, among other roles.

He added that while localisation will be a part of the Tokyo studio's duties, it is hoped that the division will develop its own titles.
