Mutant Mudds, Moon dev to Kickstart mystery console project

Mutant Mudds and Moon developer Renegade Kid has begun teasing a new project to debut via Kickstarter next week.

A countdown time on the company’s website promises a Kickstarter reveal on April 2.

According to CVG, the project is a “new console game”.

Renegade Kid is best known for its work on Nintendo platforms, but Mutant Mudds also appeared on iOS, PC, PS3 and Vita.

It has had remarkable success bringing first-person gaming to Nintendo handhelds, with horror games Demenitum and its sequel as well as sci-fi shooter Moon both defying the DS’s limited power.

A 3DS followup to Moon, Moon Chronicles, is due this year.

Atlus has teased the Reddit community with word that there will be a new PS3 game releasing via the PSN in tomorrow’s North American PlayStation Store update.
