Star Wars: The Old Republic players will notice upon logging into the game that another Rakghoul Plague outbreak is taking place. Massively reports that the precursor occurred last week when wild beats on Alderaan started attacking random citizens. Now you know why: another highly contagious outbreak seems to be spreading from Alderaan and has possibly made it top the Imperial fleet. Both the Empire and the Republic governments are seeking assistance so be sure and visit you local GSI representative.

That is cool! I wish more mmo games just have some random big events happening. It makes the world just so more alive and livid.

its not random, people knew about it, bioware teased it on twitter, and the public test server was up with it for awhile.

This first appeared around 2 years ago now. And the use of the word ‘live’ is a joke – its not. Last time, all I remember are clumps of people all getting infected to collect the tokens to get goodies…YAWN

A random live event is something like when the Sand People attacked Bestine out of the blue with over 1000 raiders in Star Wars Galaxies. But that was 2004 – fast forward 10 years later SWTOR focuses too much on the word ‘Old’….because it’s such a dated MMO
