The Fighter Within’s first gameplay trailer shows off the Xbox One launch title

The Fighter Within, which launches alongside Xbox One November, has a new video available showing off the Kinect game from Ubisoft. You can play against a friend as well and use various kicks, punches, counters, throws, combos, special moves, everything else you would expect from a fighting game – only using your own moves and not a controller. See for yourself below.

Kinect didn’t work the first time and wont work this time.

I try to stay positive about these things but after all the lies MS told about the first Kinect… I’m not going to give them the benefit of the doubt this time.

At least they didn’t make the same mistake twice. This time around they are giving the Kinect a fighting chance to prove itself for gaming/interface use. In 2-3 years we will be able to see if Kinect (or any motion device) has any real worth.

The PS Eye is following the same footsteps as the last generation EyeToy + PS Move accessories. Sony obviously didn’t learn from last generation and gaming history in general, add-on hardware usually fails.

While I’m not getting any of these two consoles anytime soon, I am curious to see what they do with the Kinect.

The first Kinect worked fine for me. There was some lag, but nothing that was game ending. Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventure, Dance Central and Kinectimals all worked pretty good.

I don’t know about this game though. Every Ubisoft launch game is usually crap. All the games they made for the first Kinect was terrible. Same thing with the Move for the PS3. Sony doesn’t even talk about the MOVE anymore. They haven’t mentioned that dancing marrionette game they showed at their Feb PS4 reveal either. It was like Sony just gave up and said, “The Wii wins.” lol!!

At least Microsoft went out and tried to improve the Kinect and make it better. It’s really up to the devs. I don’t trust Ubisoft, so I’ll wait and see how this game turned out. I will get Kinect Rivals next year. It’s been delayed anyways.

This actually looks like a pretty decent fighter game.

Mmm, that was actually pretty good. If we can play with the controller I can be interested.

Hey MS, Ninty stopped making the Wii. You can stop supporting the fad now, k?

#9 – We don’t even have to wait to see Sony give up on the PS Eye.

Seems Sony made the smarter choice of going for the larger install base. I only wish MS would do something even dumber and bring back their drm policies that everyone hated.

@13 – Sony did the smart thing by investing time and money on releasing a product they won’t even back up. Confusing gamers and developers once again.

Larger install base? They haven’t even launched yet.

Terrible input lag/latency, local MP only, gesture-based control rather than 1:1 motion conversion.

3 reasons why this game is DOA as well as prime indicators of how poor integration is even in a kinect-centric game by a major dev/pub. There’s not exactly a rush until there’s a complete VR or TIVR package but these are hurdles I thought might have been cleared by now. Ah well..

I think you have Sony mixed up with MS. Sony doesn’t need to place posters to remind people what they can do with their content like MS does.

Does anybody else read fanboy comments and laugh at how sad they are?
