A new entry in the Deception SRPG series will be making its way to Japanese Vitas and PlayStation 3s on February 27th of next year. The game, subtitled Blood Ties, casts you as the daughter of the Devil and plays up “evil” systems, such as breaking your opponent’s armour and setting more elaborate and numerous traps than previous entries have allowed. Check the trailer after the break.

This latest entry will be produced by Keisuke Kikuchi, who created the Fatal Frame series. The Deception series started in 1996 on the original PlayStation.

Deception IV: Blood Ties is set for a Japanese release on PlayStation 3 and Vita on the 27th of February next year.

Any word on the US? I loved these games back in the day, and a VITA release would be great here.

It was confirmed for the States weeks ago. The PS3 release, anyway. Didn’t care enough to look at the Vita version.

    Nice. Thanks for the news.

Now that this gen is coming to an end, new Japanese games are coming for PS3 instead of PS2. Hopefully more of them make it into the west.
