Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will be released in early 2014, and Tecmo Koei has announced it will be heading to PC via Steam. Yaiba is in development with Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi and Comcept’s Keiji Inafune, and features a world where ninja meets undead warriors and features cybernetic weapons. Along with PC, the game is slated for release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Wow I really like how Keiji Inafune and Comcept support the PS Vita and the PC like they do. I think he sees the potential in the platforms that excel at what they do.

Huh. I was expecting indie Japanese stuff to come to the PC without doubt, but the massive influx of mainstream games lately is surprising.

I’m not sure whether the PC is picking up over there, or whether they realise that there’s a massive demographic of PC owners in the West who’d be interested in those games.

    Fascinating!
