CCP Games has hired former Battlefield: Play4free and Battlefield Heroes executive producer Jean-Charles Gaudechon as the executive producer of DUST 514.

Gaudechon’s job will be to “drive future development of the persistent-world first-person shooter” at the firm’s Shanghai studio.

Gaudechon previously also led development on Need for Speed World.

“In addition to his extensive experience in the free-to-play space, Jean-Charles brings a tremendous sense of product vision and creativity to DUST 514,” said Sean Decker, SVP of product development at CCP. “His track record of developing major online titles will serve the growth of DUST 514 very well.”

Launched in May, DUST 514 received updated 1.5 today, also known as Uprising.

Dust 514 needs to go over to the next gen/PC or at least PS4.

They can’t leave the PS3 for a PC or Microsoft product.
If they do, the Dust 514 community will (justifiable) massmurder CCP.
Abusing the PS3 community with a bad, not even half finished game, with bugs, PS3 crashes as “beta testers who pay us” and move away from Sony platforms would be bold and inexcusable. I would hate CCP for this.

They can move to PS4 and still stay on the PS3 thought. A lot of users are begging for a PS4 release, Dust has it problems on PS3 and it feels like it’s forcefully being held down by the hardware.
