Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition is now available for pre-purchase.

Updated with full HD resolution support and area art remastered from the original renders, the game includes Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal as well as four new allies for your party, each with their own unique quests.

Also bundled in the Enhanced Edition is The Black Pits 2: Gladiators of Thay, an arena challenge.

The PC and Mac versions can both be pre-loaded through either the Beamdog client or an upcoming stand-alone installer.

Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition releases November 15 for $24.95.

A trailer is below to refresh your memory.

I never even finished these games. I still have the old versions. I wonder if they will run on Windows 7?

@1, both games in original releases run fine on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. Additionally, a lot of community mods and patches exist to fix remaining bugs in the games, re-add unfinished quests, add widescreen support, etc.

I’m so happy for this. Some of my favorite series. They should do Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic next!

Give it six months and it’ll be on Steam. Don’t understand the whole Beamdog foolishness.

Until then you can always just buy it off GOG and mod it. You’ll get roughly the same package, and it’ll run fine. It’s just more work.
