Friday, 6th September 2013 08:27 GMT By Dave Cook

Puppeteer reviews have started springing up online, but does Sony Japan Studio’s playful platformer cut a path through the mediocrity of today? Find out here.

The game scored big in Famitsu recently, but it remained to be seen if Western press felt the same way. Worry no longer folks, here are the scores:

IGN – 8.5/10
PlayStation Lifestyle – 7/10
Eurogamer – 6/10
GodisaGeek – 9/10
Venturebeat – 90/100
OPM – 8/10
Vandal – 9/10
ShopTo – No Score
InsideGames – 82/100
Games.ch – 87/100

Puppeteer hits PS3 in North America September 10, and in Europe September 11.

Got a score we’ve missed? Hurl it below and we’ll add it when we get a second.

The demo instantly made me pre order! This is why I love Sony. They make all types of games not just all FPS like Microshaft.

In places with propaganda idiots get killed.
You’re still alive, so no propaganda in place.

@6 I’d make a comment about having FPS games and more original titles aren’t mutually exclusive, but I don’t think you even believe the crap you spew.

I know literally nothing about this game, has anyone had a hands-on? It looks fairly LBP-esque(?).

@15 What makes you say that? The game might just be an above average title.

it looks great but i am still not feeling it. i think it just looks too hip to me.
the lbp games for example are great and all, i have played them all but i havent finished any of them. the artstyle is nice but i think the “humour” is very annoying and it just doesn’t feel authentic, it feels like a try hard to be unique game to me…and yeah, it even delivers in that regard but it’s not fun to play through these games. at least not for me.
i love platformers, one of my favourite genres actually, 2d and 3d, but i just prefer the classic look and feel i guess. don’t let me start with tearaway. same. way too try hard hip for my taste. i will check those games out though, maybe i will be able to enjoy them. this one has at least a light medievil vibe to it artworkwise and that’s one of my favourite franchises ever.
