Valve has released its Steam weekly sales charts, crowning Total War: Rome 2 as the victor.

Total War: Rome 2 reviews dropped yesterday with a few mixed scores, but were generally positive. If you missed our round-up you can get all the numbers here.

The chart for the week of August 25-31 is as follows:

  1. Total War: ROME II
  2. Payday 2
  3. Saints Row IV
  4. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist
  5. You Need a Budget 4
  6. Civilization V: Brave New World
  7. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition
  8. Prison Architect
  9. Game Dev Tycoon
  10. Arma 3 Beta

And it looks like I should have trusted my gut instincts – yet another mess from Sega and CA. AVOID Rome 2 until they fix the fucking graphics, the encyclopedia, the sound(for some reason the advisors can hardly be heard).

I cant even be bothered to see if multiplayer works.
Really, is this what we have come to expect from Sega and CA now? Unfinished rubbish at launch?
