GungHo expects 1 million Puzzle & Dragons Z sales

GungHo has high expectations for the 3DS version of free-to-play mobile title Puzzle & Dragons.

Speaking to Japanese press, as translated by Siliconera, GungHo CEO Kazuki Marishita said that the publisher expects to sell 1 million copies during this holiday season.

Puzzle & Dragons Z arrives in Japan on December 12 and has been confirmed but not dated for western launch. It boasts additional RPG elements and new monsters, which you can admire in a recent gameplay trailer.

The mobile version has been downloaded 18 million times in Japan alone, and although there's evidence its bubble may be on the brink of bursting it absolutely mints it, currently generating about $4.5 million in sales every day.
