Rayman Legends reviews – get all the scores here

Tuesday, 27th August 2013 00:32 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Rayman Legends reviews went live overnight and so far major outlets have been near unanimous with lavish praise for Ubisoft Montpellier’s latest.

Although a couple of publications we’d normally make a point of including are yet to cough up their scores – Destructoid, for example – what we have so far doesn’t dip below a solid eight. Eurogamer awarded the platform a rare perfect score, praising its ‘gorgeous visuals, painstaking design and abundant generosity’.

Rayman Legends arrives in North America on August 27 and hits Europe on August 30, for PC, PlayStation 3, Vita, Wii U and Xbox 360. Scores below are out of ten except where indicated. Submit any others you find notable in the comments; there might be more diverse opinions out there in the less-cited reviews.

    Believe the hype folks. I’ve been playing this recently and it’s simply joyous. It includes 40 Rayman Origins levels as well. Can’t argue with that.

    I think this is one game where the Wii U will have the definitive version seeing as it was designed with the Gamepad.

    If it’s as good as the demo then I’ll be happy!

    Just finished Origins today. One of the best games this generation. The art is fantastic. Can’t wait to play Legends.

    I played the demo recently and couldn’t believe how beautiful and varied this game is, considering how amazing Origins was. I have my game pre-ordered and can’t wait for the full release! Let’s hope it sells well as they really deserve it.

    @10 It’s a very lovely-looking game indeed. The artists have out-done themselves.

    nope, pass. Terrible timing, GTA5 coming this month, and right after nintendo platformers are dropping, and DKCR > Origins in my book

    Which is annoying it didn’t launch on Feb 2013 on the Wii U… Could have sold a few systems, then ported it to other consoles around this time.

    Stupid, stupid twats.

    My only qualm with this is that it looks like more of the same; still, the ‘same’ in question is Rayman Origins and that ain’t a bad thing ^_^ Having said that though, is it enough to get me to choose this over Killzone: Mercenary, Splinter Cell or GTA? Not quite. Tough window to release in.

    This game is a masterpeice. If you enjoy platform gaming and the beauty of 2D animation, you owe it to yourself to play it.
