Target putting Vita on sale for $199.99 starting August 18 according to leaked advert

Friday, 9th August 2013 17:21 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Those looking to get a deal on Vita might want to check out a rumored offer from Target: the chain is said to be putting the handhelds on sale from August 18-24 for $199.99. The ad showed up early over on the Blue-ray.com forums and subsequently posted on Cheap Ass Gamer. The add states “all Vita systems,” so we’re assuming this includes the more expensive 3G/Wi-Fi version as well. The ads should land in mailboxes this weekend. Via Polygon.

    Thanks Steph,

    It finally comes to a decent pricing level. I know they probably sell at loss but I was expecting around 169$ top with 3G/wifi.
    Perhaps soon and before Santa comes in this winter.

    Hmmm, should i take this chance, or wait for an official price-cut along with a MUCH NEEDED memory card price-cut?

    $99.99 for 32GB is ridiculous.

    @1
    The price is already decent right now.
    It’s those damn proprietary memory card that is the issue.

    Why can’t they just follow the example they already set with the PS3?

    Sony can still save the Vita by releasing an official micro sd adapter.

    The PS Vita needs games, not a price cut.
