DayZ ported into the Arma 3 beta by modders

DayZ's sandbox of undead survival has been ported into Bohemia Interactive's beta for incoming shooter Arma 3.

Polygon reports that modding group Zoombies has transferred Dean Hall's sandbox to Arma 3, and it makes use of the new game's engine. However, any and all bugs present in DayZ have carried over as it's almost a straight port. I say almost as the modders have added in a new inventory system.

Back in June DayZ standalone's Windows release date was said to be decided by Dean Hall, but that he wasn't ready to share it. Check out the details here.
