Harmonix to announce new game tomorrow

Monday, 3rd June 2013 20:58 GMT By Debabrata Nath

Harmonix, creator of popular franchises such as Rock Band and Dance Central, is going to announce a brand new game tomorrow. The twist? It’s not going to be a new Rock Band or Dance Central title.

The developer made this announcement of an announcement (don’t we all love these?) via a tweet:

The studio is currently working on three different projects that each deal with ‘different [human-computer interaction] paradigms’.

Man…the lead up to E3 is weak so far, normally we have crazy news. I guess everyone is being secretive.

@4 Hopefully this means there is gonna be tons of games being shown and announced at E3 which is better IMO.

I hope it’s not – but it might be – a downloadable title.

@tezzer – Consider this to be the calm before the storm hits ;)

I would really love a ‘One Man Band’ game. With a huge ass peripheral that was 12 instruments in one. Symbols attached on the inside of your legs, base drum on your back, keytar and shit. £399.99 RRP.

Watch it be an Air Guitar game.

I’m just gonna call it now, it’s a title for PS4. I mean, the creative director for Harmonix was a part of that video with developers talking about the PS4 back at its unveil in February.
Also, I get this is the internet, and speech will always be unfiltered (except maybe in China), but what’s with all the wise-ass pessimism here? Harmonix is a great developer.
