Nintendo has rolled out a new 3DS system update today, which revamps the online eShop and improves console stability.

Nintendo Life reports that update 5.0.0-11U has changed the eShops visuals and offers the ability to download future software updates in the background. You will also be able to use the console’s “download later” function while the Nintendo 3DS is in sleep mod, without having to close the eShop app.

The update is available across Europe and North America now.

Glad they finally added the backgrounnd download feature. I really didn’t like having to download with my 3DS opened the whole time. It was really inconvienent to do that and listen to those annoying drops.

By the time I upgrade to XL hopefully they will have resolved a lot of these things. Or announce the XL HD

@2 Don’t feed the troll, he is clearly bias. If Sony rolled out an update for their store, it’d be the best spend of money they could do in his eyes. Anyone else does it, its bad. He’s just an idiot, plain and simple.

@2 – Well, yes, you are right, the Playstation wouldn’t have existed if Nintendo hadn’t dicked them over on the SNES Playstation CD peripheral.

@3&4 Actually not really, you see him talk about Vita updates being a waste as well. Even though he has a playstation name he attacks a lot of everyone.
