Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 reviews begin, all the scores here
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 may have launched last week but reviews are only just appearing now. Does this mean the game is awful, or did review code simply get held up? See for yourself in our score round-up.

For a frame of reference you can watch our very own Sam Clay play through the first 20 minutes of the game here.
Now then, those scores:
OXM – 6/10
CVG – 6/10
Meristation – 4.5/10
Metro – 3/10
Hardcore Gamer – 2.5/5
Got a score we’ve missed? Chuck it below and we’ll add it when we can.

Oh look, game-that-had-withheld-review-code-in-shit-score-shocker.
I fully expect a similar fate to befall The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct too.

well if IGN reviews it – the game will get a 9.1 or higher ‘eh?

Depends on the exclusivity though I doubt IGN gets another exclusive review and picture with creative lead so soon after BioShock Infinite.

I would be very curious to know if some of these scores would be a point or half-point better if the people reviewing would have got a review copy?
Think about it- its your job to review games and 3 or 4 new games are coming out this week and need to be reviewed and then you get a review copy of a game that should have been worked up and reviewed a week ago. Even if the reviewers dont intentionally ding the scores because of it, I think it almost has to have some effect on the psyche of the person doing the write up. And hey, maybe it would be a way to send a “message” to the devs to be sure they send out timely review copies in the future? That’s probably a dick move, but its just a thought.

I played through the Singleplayer yesterday. Short, insultingly easy and uninspired but not a total disaster. A 6/10 is about right.

I can’t think of a game that has looked worse than this since Rogue Warrior.
6/10 is a blessing.

LuLshuck…I’m pretty sure City Interactive must be paying for reviews. No one in their right mind would rate this game above mediocre.

@12 Yep and also anybody who trusts user scores on metacritic needs to have a lobotomy.
Most of the people who write those things are mentally compromised and/or haven’t played the game in the first place.

Ok so maybe I’m not entirely surprised but I hoped. I really did. Hope is all we have left in our choice of hobby

This game’s storyline is the worst I’ve seen in the last 10 years… Oh wait, does SGW2 even has a storyline?
