The Basement Collection collector's package inbound

Edmund McMillen's Basement Collection has been made available for pre-order in a physical collector's edition.

The Basement Colleciton is a compendium of McMillen's work prior to Team Meat's breakout success story, Super Meat Boy, and released on Steam in August.

Indie special edition publisher Merge Games has put together a physical release which bundles in a copy of Indie Game: The Movie with 15 minutes of never before seen footage and over 30 minutes of audio interviews; a CD with 30 tracks; and a limited sketchbook.

The package will set you back $20 from Merge's website ahead of its March 8 release, although discount offers will save you a few bucks. A retail release is also expected later this year, including in Australia.

The nine games in The Basement Collection have all been updated with achievements, new content and features since their original releases, and are as follows:

  • Aether
  • Time Fcuk
  • Spewer
  • Meat Boy
  • Grey Matter
  • Coil
  • Triachnid

Playing through the games unlocks bonus content, including comics, stock footage from Indie Game: The Movie, and sketch books.
