Buy a Nvidia GeForce card from today, get free Hawken, PlanetSide 2 & World of Tanks credit

Nvidia has announced that it is embracing the shift in high-spec F2P titles, by offering free in-game credit for Hawken, PlanetSide 2 and World of Tanks when you buy any GeForce GTX card from today.

In a release sent to VG247, Nvidia estimated that 36 Million gamers still don’t meet the recommended system spec for all three titles, and recognised that the technical demands of free-to-play titles are increasing as the quality of such games rises.

So, from today if you buy a GeForce GTX 650 / 650 Ti card at $99 – $199, you will bag $75 worth of in-game currency for all three games above – $25 each.

While anyone buying a GeForce GTX 660 or upward for $199 – $999 will receive $150 of currency – $50 per game.

UK retailers supporting the deal are Scan, Ebuyer, Dabs and Novatech.

What do you think of the above? Should more companies be supporting the shift in F2P quality? Is the landscape changing? Let us know below.

That is a ridiculous and amazing deal. It’s a shame MWO isn’t included in that, or Warface (granted they are both still in beta), but the CryEngine 3′s demands must surely outstrip both of those.

Disappointingly, if those weren’t free to play games that would be 3 high quality games. While I love embracing change, that’s a bit disheartening (since $50 to those is likely a drop in the ocean).

Garbage. People want Steam codes for retail games.
